Since you're reading this, you're probably approaching that certain age when we all start noticing certain changes. One of the most visible changes is wrinkles appearing in our skin. This reminder of our aging is not something most of us look forward to, but fortunately there are ways to slow down, and even reverse, the aging process of our skin and bodies.
What causes wrinkles? There are a number of causes, including (but not limited to):
- Air pollution
- Free radicals
- Ultraviolet light
- Cigarette smoke
These substances, whether they're acting on us from the inside or the outside of our bodies, affect the skin by shrinking and thinning out the cells that hold our skin together.
The damage is cumulative, and over time, wrinkles in the skin are the result. The inevitable effects of gravity only make the problem worse.
